Our food journey begins visiting Tampaksiring traditional market. Learn about local spices which we use in our cooking. Upon arrival at the cooking space in Penempahan village, our first step will be to prepare the main condiments (seasonings and sambel). Our menu will consist of purely Balinese dishes including Tempe, Tofu and Lawar- a mixed vegetable salad of long beans, coconut and spices traditionally prepared for Balinese ceremonial gatherings. Pepes ( steamed tuna fish in banana leaves), Chicken Sate Lilit and local dessert. Our cooking lesson is conducted in a local house overlooking the rice fields. Enjoy your own cooked lunch while enjoying a beautiful view.
